I've had the best weekend!

Thursday Drew came up to visit me. We ate at Quincy Market, walked around and looked at historical places that I didn't know the history of, and went to the Museum of Fine Arts. It was nice to finally see him again after so long! I was beginning to think he was a ghost.

Unfortunately I have this major foot cramp that I got from walking around all day in flip flops. It's been constant for three days now...

Friday I went to go see Jordan Knight from New Kids on the Block with Susanna and Lisa. It was so much fun. There was an opening act called "Brainz Davis." He was an MC. I have to admit that I felt very out of place, although it was really him who was out of place in a room full of really really white girls. Brainz Davis was still a lot of fun though...he had this song "Shake it like a Jamaican" and he taught us how to shake it. So I did it and, being in the front row, he pointed at me and said "yeah, you got it." Jordan Knight was amazing. He's such a good dancer! And he looks really good. ::sighs:: We met up with Lisa's friend while we were there. She's a hardcore Jordan Knight fan. So when he said that the most enthusiastic person would come up on stage we screamed and pointed at her. She got pulled up and he sang her favorite song for her. It was seriously the best moment of her life. I'm glad we could make it happen.

Despite Friday being St. Patty's Day, there was no drinking for me. Although the smell of alcohol was everywhere in my dorm. It attacked us as we came out of the elevator. I had to be up at 6AM the next day to go to New York for Bodies: The Exhibition with Neha and her friend, Joanna. The exhibit has real human bodies dissected and on display. It was intense, but all the things we had learned in human phys finally made sense!

This was seriously one of the best weekends ever! And pretty soon Rubin will be coming up to visit me! Whoot!

Remember when getting high meant swinging at the playground, the worst thing you could get from the opposite sex was cooties, dad was your hero, and mom was the person you looked up to, your enemies were your teachers or your siblings, race issues was who ran the fastest, war was a card game, the only drugs you knew was cough medicine and a girl that wore a skirt didn't have to be a slut, the only thing you smoked were the tires on your bike, the only thing that hurt was skinned knees and the only things that can be broken were your toys. life was simple and care free, but what I remember the most was wanting to grow up...

And no, I do not make these up...I get them from various human resources. :-D

Police are warning all men who frequently visit clubs, parties and local pubs to be alert and stay cautious when offered a drink from any woman.

Many females use a date rape drug on the market called "Beer". The drug is found in liquid form and available almost everywhere. It comes in bottles, cans, from taps and in large "kegs".

"Beer" is used by female sexual predators at parties and bars to persuade their male victims to go home and have sex with them. A woman needs only to get a male to consume a few units of "Beer" and then simply ask him home for no strings attached sex. Men are rendered helpless against this approach. Many times these unfortunate men are swindled out of their life's savings in a scam known as a "relationship". In extreme cases, the female may even be shrewd enough to entrap the unsuspecting male into a longer term form of servitude and punishment referred to as "marriage".

Please! Forward this warning to every male you know. If you fall victim to this "Beer" and the women administering it.....there are
male support groups where you can discuss the details of your shocking encounter with similarly affected like-minded guys. For the support group nearest you, just look up "Locker Room" in the Yellow Pages.

You may not know that many nonliving things have a gender. For example:
1) Ziploc Bags -- They are Male, because they hold everything in, but you can see right through them.
2) Copiers -- They are Female, because once turned off, it takes a while to warm them up again. It's an effective reproductive device if the right buttons are pushed, but can wreak havoc if the wrong buttons are pushed.
3) Tire -- Male, because it goes bald and it's often over-inflated.
4) Hot Air Balloon -- Male, because, to get it to go anywhere, you have to light a fire under it, and of course, there's the hot air part.
5) Sponges -- Female, because they're soft, squeezable and retain water.
6) Web Page -- Female, because it's always getting hit on.
7) Subway -- Male, because it uses the same old lines to pick people up.
8) Hourglass -- Female, because over time, the weight shifts to the bottom.
9) Hammer -- Male, because it hasn't changed much over the last 5,000 years, but it's handy to have around.
10) Remote Control -- Female...... Ha! You thought it'd be male. But consider this -- it gives a man pleasure, he'd be lost without it, and while he doesn't always know the right buttons to push, he keeps trying.

Friday when I went out to eat with my grandma she said this to me:

"Tara, if someone doesn't like you it's not your fault, it's their fault."

And that is why I love my grandma...she always makes me feel special.
